Frequently asked questions

Everything on how allocations settle, how funding works, and how custody is secured. If your question isn't here, the desk answers directly.

What exactly am I allocated to?

Each programme holds a defined mix of physical metals and refinery-linked energy positions. Metals are held as LBMA good-delivery bars in segregated custody; energy exposure is contracted through the desk's refinery counterparties. Your account statement shows the mandate and the settlement history, in USD.

How is my return calculated?

Each programme settles at a stated daily rate against your allocated amount, credited every trading day for the term. The rate is fixed at the point of allocation and shown on every plan card before you commit.

What happens when the term ends?

At maturity your principal is returned to your account balance alongside the final settlement. You can withdraw it, or roll it into a new allocation. Nothing renews automatically.

Can I exit an allocation early?

Early redemption is possible but is settled at the desk's discretion and may forfeit accrued settlement for the current period. Contact the desk before you need the funds, not after.

What happens if a market halts?

Settlement continues at the stated rate; it is a contractual term, not a market-linked payout. A prolonged halt affecting the underlying is disclosed to allocation holders directly.

How do I fund my account?

By bank wire in USD, by debit or credit card, or by transferring existing vaulted holdings from another custodian. Wires carry no fee and clear in one to two business days; card payments are instant and carry a 2.4% acquirer fee.

What is the minimum allocation?

The entry programme, Bullion Allocation, starts at $500. Larger mandates carry higher minimums, up to $50,000 for Strategic Reserve. Minimums are shown on each programme.

How are withdrawals processed?

Withdrawals settle to the bank account registered on your profile. Requests under $25,000 are processed automatically on business days; larger amounts are released by the desk after a manual check.

Is the metal physically held?

Yes. Metals backing client allocations are held in segregated custody in London and Zurich, under the custodian named in your account settings. Bars are not lent, leased or rehypothecated.

What documents do I need to open an account?

Government photo identification and a proof of address issued within the last three months. Allocations above $25,000 require source-of-funds documentation. Verification usually completes within one business day.

Is the custody insured?

Vaulted holdings are covered under the custodian's all-risk policy while in storage and in transit. Insurance covers loss and physical damage; it does not cover market price movement.

Do you report for tax?

You can download a full statement of allocations and settlements for any period from your account. We do not file on your behalf and we do not give tax advice - give the statement to your accountant.

Still need help?

The client services desk answers questions on allocations, funding and compliance directly.
